School Counselor

Sheila Kelly, MA, LMHC, Parker’s School Mental Health Counselor, serves as a liaison between home and school, particularly in situations where personal or family issues may be affecting a student’s academic or behavioral performance. Sheila welcomes parents who would like to discuss concerns about their children either by phone or in person. 

Sheila provides short-term individual counseling, crisis management and social supports for students as well as longer term counseling for students with IEPs. Sheila will provide appropriate referrals to families as needed. When requested, Sheila consults with outside providers and agencies to support the best care for our students.

Sheila currently serves as a resource for Parker's Gender & Sexuality Alliance, leads the Mental Health Matters student group, co-facilitates multiple lunch groups and works with the Peer Leadership Program. Sheila is involved in school-wide initiatives that focus on the social and emotional well-being of students. Some of the issues Sheila addresses with students and parents include:
